PTU Tutorial: Ghoulish

 

SUPPLIES:

Scrapkit by Tiny Turtle Designs "Ghoulish" HERE

MASK:  DD_FM_2015_3 from Dangerously Delicious Designz HERE

The tube I used is Brenda by Jenny at Elegance Fly. You must have a license to use this tube.

(Remember to add drop shadows as you go along! I used 2,2, 56, 6 black )

Open element 55, duplicate and close original

Increase canvas size to 800 x 800, center

Resize 90% (all layers unchecked), sharpen 3x

Open element 72

Move all the way over to the right of your canvas, to the edge without going off the canvas

Drag this layer to the bottom in your layers palette

Duplicate, mirror horizontal

Duplicate, rotate left 90°. Move over to the right and bring to the top of your frame. Don't worry about what is sticking out

highlight top layer (element 55%)

Open element 75, resize 40% and move to the left, just on top of the edge of element 55

Duplicate, mirror horizontal. Flip vertical and move very slightly up

Duplicate, rotate left 90° and move to the top of element 55 and move over to the left a little

Duplicate, mirror horizontal and move to the right slightly

Element 90, rotate left 90°. Resize 40% and move over to the right and up between the two elements 75 

Duplicate, mirror horizontal

Paste paper 8 as a new layer.  Add mask, merge group

Element 26

Element 14, resize 80%

Highlight element 26 and duplicate, drag above element 14 and resize 85% 

Element 102, resize 40% and move up and to the right of your canvas

Duplicate, mirror horizontal

Add your tube and resize as needed (you don't want too much hanging down from the frames but the next elements we are going to add

will cover a lot of it up - you can always adjust at the end

Element 33, move to bottom right of canvas. Duplicate, mirror horizontal

Element 99, resize 42%.  Move down and off-center to the right 

Element 21, resize 55%. Move down and to the left 

Element 56, resize 30% and place on top of the books

Element 107, resize 37% and place to the left of the books.  Sharpen

Element 18, resize 16% and place somewhere on the right on top of the "frames" (see example), or place where desired

Element 61, resize 40% and place in front center of the books.  Sharpen

Element 97, resize 40% and just move straight down to the right of the books and between the tombstone

Element 96, resize 40%. Move to on top of the books to the left of the bat

Element 23, resize 40%. Move to the bottom between the green vase and the skull bottle

Element 44, resize 45%. Move down to the left, to the right of the purple bottle

Element 83, resize 70%. Move down to the right corner

Element 77, resize 30% and place between the skull bottle and the tombstone.

Element 98, resize 35%. Move down to the left of the cauldron

Element 81, resize 30%. Move down to in front of the jack o lantern, on the right.

Duplicate, flip mirror and move to the right

Add any more elements, your name and add your license.  Save as .png

Enchanting Autumn Cluster Frame

Hi there, it's been quite a while since I've posted anything outside of blogtrains lol.  I was in an Autumnal mood so thought I'd share a cluster I made from Tiny Turtle Designs Enchanted Autumn kit!

FTU Tutorial: Autumn Magic

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

FREE kit Early Fall from Tiny Turtle Designs HERE

Mask and wordart HERE

 Tube:  Fuchsia by Alehandra Vanhek purchased at HaniaDesign, or tube of choice

Open the mask and wordart in PSP.

Open a new transparent canvas, 500 x 500.

Selections>Select All>Paste element (paper) 9 into selection. Ctrl+D to deselect.  Sharpen.

Element 48, resize 70%.

Element 40, resize 70%.  Add drop shadow - 2, 2, 20, 10, black.  Merge visible.

Layers>New mask layer>from image and choose gabeemask30, Invert mask data checked.

Effects>Edge effects>Enhance.  Merge group. 

Duplicate.  Gaussian blur 1.  Drag this layer to bottom.  Merge visible.

Element 31, rotate right 40°, resize 60%

Move down to bottom of masked image and drag this layer to bottom in layers palette.

Highlight top layer.  Add new raster layer.

Add custom selections with these settings: Left 111, Top 117, Right 231, Bottom 337.

Open Element (paper) 15 and paste into selection.  Add noise 80%.  Deselect.

Drag this layer to bottom in layers palette.

Duplicate.  Hit K on your keyboard to bring up the deform tool and use to move this under the middle rectangle.

Duplicate again and move under third rectangle.

Highlight top layer.  Paste Element 20.  Duplicate, resize 60%.  Move to bottom right corner of your image.

Duplicate.  Mirror horizontal.  Mirror vertical.

Add the wordart where you choose. Add gradient or drop shadow of choice.  Add any other elements you choose. 

Add your name.  Save as .png.

(Remember this is rather small - if you wish to enlarge to add a tube, increase canvas size to 700 x 700,  merge visible and enlarge by 135% - 140%.  Sharpen.  Now add your tube and copyright and save.

PTU Tutorial: Pretty As A Peacock

Supplies: Scrapkit - TTL Vibrant Peacock - HERE
Tube - Misticheskaya Azeeza HERE or tube of choice
Plugin: Xero Bad Dream (optional)

OK, let's go!
Remember to add drop shadows as you go along!
Open 36, duplicate change canvas size to 700 x 700 center.
Paste tube (i resized 35%) and place to left hand side of frame
Paste 51 resize 37% and place on top of the frame on the top right hand side beside the butterfly.  
Duplicate your tube, mirror.  
Magic wand, click inside the oval frame and expand by 3.  Move your tube under this frame and position as you like.  Invert and delete. 
Invert again.  Add new layer under the the oval frame layer.  Open 25, mirror then paste into selection.  Colorize>Hue 122, Saturation 225.
Highlight the duplicate tube layer and change blend mode to Luminance (Legacy). Deselect.
Paste 50. resize 35% and put under the small oval frame and tube layer (only the scattered glitter bits will show, erase the parts inside the frame)
Paste 47, resize 85% and place beside your tube on the right.  Make sure this is under your tube layer.
Paste 2 and place along the bottom of the frame and drag this layer under the frame.
Paste 68 and place along the bottom of the canvas, extending just beyond 47.  Duplicate and drag to the left side to extend just past
your tube.
Paste 85 and resize 85%.  (Drag the layer to just above the heart frame layer) Place behind your tube on the left, and position around the middle of the frame.
Duplicate and drag this layer over to the right and place behind the oval frame.
Paste 70 and drag down to very bottom layer.    Drag over to the right and up a bit to where the waterfall is to the right of your tube.
Xero>Bad Dream> Change Colouration Red, Green and Blue to 127; leave other settings as is.  If you do not have this plugin, you can use Brightness/Contrast
and set Brightness to 11 and Contrast to 46. Erase the parts that are showing on the outside of the frame.
Duplicate. Mirror and drag to left hand side of frame and erase anything overhanging outside the frame.  Drag this layer to bottom.
Paste 29, resize 30% and position on the right hand side of the waterfall.
Paste 30 and do as above.  Erase any butterflies you don't want.
Highlight top layer.  Paste 10.  Erase the gold parts at the bottom of the peacock.  Flip horizontal.  Resize 40% and position on left beside tube. Sharpen.
Add license and name and save as .png
